The Bruce Highway has reopened following a crash at near Althaus Creek Bridge.
19-year-old P-plater Taryn Summer lives in Bluewater along the Bruce Highway and was coming home from university when she witnessed the crash.
She said the stretch of road is notoriously bad for crashes.

“My property is between two bridges making it extremely dangerous to turn into,” she said.

“When I heard and saw the crash I swung the car back into first gear and revved it onto the grass to go check on people.”

She said she tried to help as many people involved in the two car crash, with others pulling over to help.
“The road is extremely dangerous and I have a lot of my family members end up being hospitalised as there is no turning lane into my house,” she said.

Ms Summer said many living along the highway have the same experiences and witness many dangerous incidents on a regular basis.

“Having no turning lane in a 100km zone, where there are multiple cars coming through and behind everday is dangerous.”

“I’m happy everyone got out of there alive.”
