Two people were badly hurt in two separate scooter accidents in Townsville in the space of two hours on Sunday.

Queensland Ambulance Service a person had sustained facial injuries after a fall from a scooter on Angelus Place in Kirwan at 12.21pm.

The victim was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition, QAS said.

Less than two hours earlier, at 10.48am, a person suffered a knee injury after a fall from an E-scooter on the corner of Gulliver Street and Fulham Road.

Queensland Fire Department, meanwhile, have issued a smoke warning for Bohle and Burell due to a fire burning near Enterprise Street, Bohle, as of 2pm.

QFD said no properties were at risk but smoke could make it hard for some people to breathe.

Updates will be issued if the situation changes.

A woman suffered a suspected snake bite while a man was burned in two separate incidents at private addresses in Townsville overnight, Queensland Ambulance Service says.

QAS said that in the first incident, a middle-aged woman was transported to Townsville University Hospital (TUH) in a stable condition following the reported snake bite on John Melton Black Drive in Garbutt at 7.59pm.

TUH said a 43-year-old woman was expected to be discharged on Sunday morning.

In the second incident, a man in his 50s suffered burn injuries to his hands following a “back yard fire incident” at a private address in Kelso at 8.47pm.

He was transported to TUH in a stable condition.

QAS said a third person was taken to TUH in a stable condition after a two-vehicle crash on the intersection of Kings Road and Woolcock Street in Hyde Park at 6.22pm.
