Chilling footage of school kids fighting in Townsville shopping centres has parents raising the alarm as some kids no longer feel safe to go out.

A 13-year-old girl from Heatley High School was taken to hospital after she was attacked by a student from another school in Willows Shopping Centre on February 2 about 5.30pm.

It comes after another fight was caught on film was at the Coles in Aitkenvale on February 3.

Her mum, who can’t be named for legal reasons, said the girl was “stomped on the head” and repeatedly hit after two other students confronted her near Best and Less.

“My child is too scared to go to school now because one day they were waiting for her outside the gate,” the mum said.

“She’s too scared to go to Willows as well because those kids are there all the time.

“They’re just running the place.”

Willows centre manager Ryan Wheelhouse said they were aware of the incident and that security attended the scene and police were notified.

The 13-year-old girl was taken to Townsville University Hospital with pain in her head, upper neck and back.

Police said they were investigating the Willows assault, and no charges have been laid yet.
