Townsville City Council to put properties up for auction due to unpaid rates

Townsville City Council has revealed when a number of properties will go up for auction to pay unpaid rates and charges.

• Ring Road off and on ramp changes coming to Riverway Drive
• Wet conditions expected in North Queensland for the first half of the week

TOWNSVILLE City Council has revealed that a number of properties will go up for auction to pay unpaid rates and charges.

The 42 properties will be sold after council tried to work with owners to pay debts owed.

The council says this is a last resort and it prefers to help work out any issues property owners have.
