Police seek man in connection to alleged assault in Mount Louisa

Townsville police have released an image of a man they believe could assist with investigations into an alleged assault in Mount Louisa.

Police said initial reports suggest the incident occurred around 12.40pm on Sunday, August 25, following a traffic dispute between a woman in her 20s and the man at the intersection of Duckworth Road and Bayswater Road.

Police said the altercation escalated when the man approached the woman at a nearby service station on Bayswater Road, where he allegedly struck her phone out of her hand.

Police are urging the man, or anyone with information about the incident, to come forward as investigations continue.
