A Cowboys winger and Queensland Maroons representative has popped the question to his long-term girlfriend during a romantic New South Wales getaway.
Murray Taulagi proposed to girlfriend Claudia Schroder during their weekend getaway to Whian Whian, west of Byron Bay.
The couple have been together since 2017.
Ms Schroder shared a post to her Instagram on Monday sharing the news captioning it “Forever yours 31.08.24.”
Photos of her ring in front of the picturesque Northern Rivers hinterland were flooded with hundreds of celebratory comments from friends, family and teammates.
Cowboys skipper Reuben Cotter offered his congratulations alongside fellow Cowboys players.
Taulagi’s fellow Maroons teammates also shared their excitement for the announcement with Broncos fullback Reece Walsh commenting “congrats my bra”.
Fans from around Townsville also pointed out the ring with Triple M radio host Annabelle Brett commenting “Congrats lovelies! This is such wonderful news, a bloody top shelf couple. Also, Murray Taulagi that ring, you did good.”
