A truck has caught fire on the Bruce Hwy south of Home Hill and sparked a grass fire.
Three fire crews are currently on scene battling the blaze.
A Queensland Fire Department (QFD) spokesman said their first crew arrived on scene near Guthalungra around 1.10pm on Tuesday.
“The truck was well involved, and it started a grass fire,” the spokesman said.
“The crews are working to extinguish the blaze. Both the truck and the grass fire.”
QFD said they believed the Bruce Hwy had been completely closed to traffic.
Queensland Police, who are in charge of traffic control, said they had minimal information about the incident aside from the fact the truck was blocking the southbound lane.
The exact location of the truck fire is a section of overtaking lane near Cape Creek Rd, 5km south of Gumlu.
