LOCAL punk rockers A. Swayze and the Ghosts will feature on the soundtrack of the anticipated reboot of two of the highest rated video games of all time.

Music fans who grew up playing the generation defining Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 in the early 2000s will know the track lists were as iconic as the critically acclaimed games themselves.

The games will be re-released on September 4 having been rebuilt and remastered.

The soundtrack for the rebooted versions was released this week and includes original and obligatory favourites like Rage Against the Machine’s Guerrilla Radio and Millencolin’s No Cigar. Other new additions to the track list include fellow Aussies Alex Lahey, Baker Boy and DZ Deathrays.

A. Swayze guitarist Hendrik Wipprecht said he could not believe the band’s track Connect to Consume would be included in the game.

“When I got THPS2 for Christmas as a child my mind was blown,” he said.

“Now that we’re going to have a song on the re-release my mind no longer exists”.

A. Swayze & The Ghosts debut album Paid Salvation will be released on September 18 featuring singles Connect To Consume, Mess Of Me and Suddenly.
