IDENTICAL twins Will and Tom and Elsie and Molly are so excited about starting kinder they have been wearing their uniforms for weeks.

The four-year-old friends, who have known each other since babyhood, will be in the same class at Taroona Primary School this year.

Elsie and Molly Oldfield feel particularly happy knowing mum Angela will be teaching a kindergarten class next door.

Tom and Will Taylor’s mum Claire will be teaching at the adjacent Taroona High School.

Elsie said she was looking forward to “wearing my school uniform the first time and playing with other children and making new friends”.

Molly was keen to learn how to read books.

“Mum’s going to be next door to us,” she said.

Mrs Oldfield said: “They’re ecstatic.”

The school has an iPad for each kinder student — a big drawcard for the boys.

“We’re looing forward to computer games,” said Tom, who was also keen to learn painting.

Will said he was thrilled about learning to use the iPad.

Mrs Taylor said the boys turned four late last year so her only concern would have been their young age.

“I think they’re ready. They’re looking forward to playing,” she said.

Government school students resume today.

Many kinder classes start separately and the twins, who will attend three days a week, start on Tuesday.
