Two people involved in a crash in Nunamara have been taken to hospital

Site of ‘horrendous’ triple tragedy, Sandford

Police and emergency services have attended the scene of a serious single vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway at Nunamara about 1.25pm.

An 83-year-old man from Scottsdale and a 78-year-old passenger were travelling in a grey Nissan Qashqai.

The pair are in a serious condition and have been transported to Launceston General Hospital via ambulance where they are receiving medical treatment.

The road has now been cleared.
