She’s been dubbed the ‘Tassie Tiger’, set to shake up the latest season of Married at First Sight, but nurse and youth worker Tayla Winter has revealed that she’s ready to settle down and just wants a family.

Miss Winter’s debut on national television is next week where she and husband “Hugo Armstrong” enter the experiment as an intruder couple.

Miss Winter revealed that her motivation to take part in the series was based on the fact that she had nothing to lose.

“I came out of a long term relationship and thought ‘why not?’, really,” she said.

“I’m financially stable, I have my land, my investment properties, my career, I’ve got everything I want in life, but I was missing that someone and I really want children.

“That was the driving force behind applying for the experiment.”

Casting Miss Winter and Mr Armstrong as an intruder couple was a last minute decision by the producers, she told the Mercury.

“It was terrifying, the fact that I was entering the experiment as an intruder,” she said.

On whether the other cast members were welcoming of the couple, Miss Winter was unable to comment.

The 27-year-old also admitted her family, including her well known Tasmanian football legend father, Darren Winter, had reservations about her taking part in the experiment.

“I had a lot of concerns from my mum and dad,” she said

“My dad is really protective over me and he was really worried I was going to meet someone that wasn’t for me.”

Miss Winter’s say she’s grateful for the support she’s received so far, claiming the Tasmanian community have rallied behind her.

“I’m feeling so supported, I can’t actually believe how much support I’ve been given, it’s amazing.”

Although she remained tight-lipped about the outcome of her TV pairing, it was previously reported a butt-dial by Mr Armstrong to Miss Winter lights the fuse on an explosive confrontation between the pair, with the husband alleged to have called his new bride “a nightmare” and “c--t” to an acquaintance.
