TASMANIAN shark attack victim Justine Barwick is improving in leaps and bounds, with the 46-year-old now able to dress herself and walk 100m two weeks after the ocean ordeal that almost killed her.
Mrs Barwick was bitten in the groin region in a suspected tiger shark attack at Cid Harbour, in the Whitsundays, on September 19.
The Burnie mother has managed to get dressed into her casual clothes for the first time since the attack.
“She continues to improve and every day she’s able to walk further,” Mrs Barwick’s employer and spokesman Douglass Doherty said.
A date for her return to Tasmania is still being discussed, but it’s believed Mrs Barwick could fly home next week.
