Ms Sorensen, who was formerly Reggie Bird, has been selected as part of the cast for the new season of Big Brother, Royalty vs New Contenders.

The 48-year-old shot to fame on the reality show in 2003 and would go on to win the competition, with ‘Go Reggie’ bumper stickers all the rage in Tasmania.

Ms Sorensen has publicly talked about having a rough trot in the following years, including a marriage breakdown, a battle with a degenerative eye condition which has caused her to become legally blind and her son’s battle with cystic fibrosis.

The 2022 season is set to see Sonia Kruger return as host and is expected to air on Channel 7 soon.
