Missing man Rod Huxtable has been found safe and well

Tasmania Police no longer hold concerns for the welfare 71-year-old Rod Huxtable, who was located on Friday morning.

UPDATED: POLICE advise that missing Wynyard man Rod Huxtable has been located safe and well. Tasmania Police thank the community for their help in locating the 71 year old.

UPDATED: POLICE have renewed their call for help from the public to locate a missing Wynyard man who has not been seen since Wednesday morning.

The last confirmed sighting of 71-year-old Rod Huxtable was at 11am on Wednesday, when he was seen driving on York St, Wynyard, in his car.

Police this morning said there were investigating a potential sighting of Mr Huxtable in the Preolenna area yesterday.

Mr Huxtable is described as having short grey hair and pale complexion.

The vehicle in which he was last seen is a 2002 silver Daihatsu Sirion with registration EQ4355.

Anyone who has seen Mr Huxtable or his car since Wednesday is urged to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.

EARLIER: TASMANIA Police holds concerns for the welfare 71-year-old Rod Huxtable.

Mr Huxtable was last seen about 11am on Wednesday driving on York St, Wynyard, in his 2002 silver Daihatsu Sirion, registration EQ4355.

He is described as having short grey hair and a pale complexion.
