SUMMER’S never looked hotter for Tasmanian music fans, with two key festivals on the calendar dropping their line-up for their upcoming events.
SummerSalt have announced international stars Ben Harper and City and Colour will headline the festival, which will also feature Australian favourites Angus & Julia Stone, The Rubens, Alex the Astronaut and Middle Kids.
Harper is a three-time Grammy Award winning artist with a long touring history and great affinity with Australian audiences.
His 17th studio album, Bloodline Maintenance, was released on July 22 this year.
Angus & Julia Stone have been performing together for more than 15 years and released their fifth album, Life Is Strange, last year.
The pair have won countless awards, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year at the ARIA’s.
SummerSalt will be held on February 3 at Hobart’s Royal Botanical Gardens.
Tickets go on sale October 13 at 10am.
Great Escape have also unveiled their line-up for what will be the festival’s third instalment after launching in 2021 to give artists struggling through Covid the chance to shine.
The event will be headlined by Melbourne’s G Flip, who burst onto the scene in 2018 and has been a staple on Triple J since.
Northeast Party House and King Stingray are the other big names set to grace the stage.
Great Escape will be held on March 3-4 at the foot of Mount Field National Park.
There will be increased tickets available for this year’s event with the addition of a new camping area.
