19/3921. Susan Dando (1991-92) - lawyer - A Rhodes Scholar (1999), Susan graduated with First Class Honours in political science and law. She went on to study environmental and international law at Oxford and now works as an operations director for the Boston Consulting Group in the US.
20/3920. Dorothy Steane (1982-83) - scientist - Rhodes Scholar (1992), masters rower and current UTAS researcher specialising in forest genetics. Her research focuses on population genetics, phylogeny, evolution, adaptation and biogeography of Eucalyptus.
21/3919. Josh Beltz - athlete - A member of the Australian men’s hockey team. The defender has 33 Kookaburra caps, scoring three goals. He was part of the 2016 Champions Trophy gold-winning side.
22/3918. Michael Wagg (1972) - engineer - Rhodes Scholar (1978), currently works as a telecommunications consultant for PLUS ES in Sydney. He studied electrical engineering at UTAS before travelling to the University of Oxford to complete a doctorate in telecommunications engineering. 28/3912. Melissa Carlton - athlete - A paralympian who was born in South Africa and educated in Hobart. She was born without a right leg and obtained her first artificial leg at the age of one. She is a champion swimmer who won nine medals at Paralympic Games in 1996 and 2000. She won gold in 1996 in the 400m freestyle and the 4x100 metres freestyle relay. 29/3911. Bianca Langham-Pritchard - athlete - played 136 games for the Hockeyroos (37 goals) in a career that included 1998 World Cup and Commonwealth Games gold medals and a 2002 Commonwealth Games bronze.
30/3910. Lila Landowski - neuroscientist - 2015 Premier’s Young Achiever of the Year and a finalist for Young Australian of the Year in 2016. Lila is currently investigating stroke and nerve regeneration with the University of Tasmania School of Medicine.
31/399. Matthew Wells – athlete - A three-time Olympian who won gold for Australia in men’s hockey in Athens in 2004. He also has two bronze medals from the Sydney and Beijing games and two Commonwealth Games gold medals. He played 241 games for the Australia and was the only member of the Kookaburras to have played in each of the medal winning teams from Sydney to Beijing. He is now a high performance coach in Queensland.
