1/1717. Luke Butterworth - cricketer - Former first-class cricket allrounder who played in the 2006-07 Sheffield Shield winning Tasmanian Tigers team, the state’s title. He played a key role in the match making his maiden first-class century and taking foru wickets in the first innings. He toured Pakistan with the Australia A side in 2007. Butterworth took more than 200 first-class wickets and score more than 2700 runs. He now plays club cricket for Glenorchy Cricket Club.

2/1716. Joanna Siejka, class of 1998 - politician - Ms Siejka was elected to the Tasmanian Legislative Council in a by-election for the electoral division of Pembroke in November 2017. From 2010-17 she was the chief executive officer of the Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT). She has completed degrees in social impact and investment, journalism and counselling. 3/1715. Brett Geeves - cricketer - Former player with the Tasmania and Australia in One Day Internationals and played for the Deli DareDevils in the Indian Premier League. A fast-medium opening bowler, Geeves also was a handly lower-order batsman. He took 123 first-class wickets and scored 873 runs. Injury forced his retirement in 2011 Columnist for Fox Sports and the Mercury.
4/1714. Emma Eaton, class of 2001 - medical researcher - With a PhD in neuroscience, Dr Eaton has become an expert on the human brain. She has worked in the field for more than a decade and is a medical researcher at the UTAS School of Medicine in the area of strokes.
5/1713. Alison Rutledge, class of 2004 - urologist - Dr Rutledge (pictured here studyng for her TCE in 2004) studied medicine at UTAS, graduating in 2010. After completing her internship at the Royal Hobart Hospital, she moved to NSW to pursue further surgical training. She was appointed to the advanced training scheme in urology and is now working as a urology registrar in NSW. She is completing a PhD at the University of Newcastle in the field of prostate cancer.
6/1712. Corey Smith, class of 2001 - futsala and soccer coach and player - Since completing a sport and recreation diploma and a traineeship in business management, Smith has travelled the world for 18 years, as an Australian representative futsal coach. He has been state director of coaching in Tasmania and Victoria, while also coaching soccer at an elite level both within Australia and overseas. His current roles are technical director of Victorian Futsal and Under 17 Australian futsal head coach. He is also a partner in his own personal coaching business called Ballarat Football Academy.
7/1711. Carrisa Wells, nee Carpenter, class of 2006 - foreman - Carrisa was the TAFE Tasmania Apprentice of the Year in 2011 and after completing her apprenticeship in Construction with Fairbrother, she went on to become a site foreman with the company. Currently on maternity leave, she was site supervisor for the Royal Hobart Redevelopment in 2016–17.
8/1710. Lindsay Wells, 2008 dux of Claremont College - IT whiz - Dr Wells has a PhD in computer science from UTAS, where he now lectures in that subject. He is a co-founder of the video game development company Giant Margarita, which produced the first Tasmanian-made PS4 and Nintendo Switch game, titled Party Golf. Picture by Paris Buttfield-Addison

Andrew Phipps, class of 2010 - medical researcher, business owner - Mr Phipps graduated from university with honours in biotechnology and medical research and is now finishing a PhD in medical sciences researching neuro-epigenetics at the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, investigating the causes of Alzheimer’s disease. He also manages a professional photography, fine-art printing and framing business for landscape photography called Eagle Eye Tasmania.
10/178. Ashley Norris, class of 1998 - scientist, businessman - After completing a degree in Physics at ANU, Dr Norris went on to do a PhD in planetary chemistry at the University of Oxford. He has worked as a scientist in the UK, Canada, USA, and Australia for 15 years, and recently established a scientific services company, Norris Scientific, providing software and hardware for research scientists worldwide.
11/177. Dana Faletic, class of 1995 - Olympian and World Champion rower, economist - Faletic represented Australia in junior, under-23 and senior Australian rowing teams, culminating in a World Championship title in 2003, Olympic Bronze Medal in 2004, and 4th place at the 2012 Olympics in the Women’s Quad Scull. Faletic completed a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Tasmania in 2000 and works for the Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance. Picture: KIM EISZELE

Jackie Hartnett, class of 1991 - lawyer - Ms Harnett completed a Bachelor of science and Bachelor of Laws with Honours in Law at UTAS and was admitted in 1998, and worked in private law firms until joining the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in 2004, where she is now the principal Crown Counsel, appearing as counsel for the state in the Supreme Court. She was appointed a Crown law officer in 2016.
13/175. Julia Wheeler, class of 2007 - lawyer - Ms Wheeler is a senior associate with the international law firm, K L Gates. She has experience assisting on corporate and personal insolvency matters, loan recovery and securities enforcement, liquidations and winding up proceedings, personal bankruptcy proceedings and litigation arising from insolvent administrations. She has worked with a broad range of clients including banks and other financiers, listed and unlisted companies and a number of insolvency accounting firms.
14/174. Bridget Pross, class of 2002. - singer - After 10 years performing in Melbourne, Pross returned home to the Derwent Valley. Writing original music and performing publicly since the age of 15, she has supported a number of high profile local and international acts, including Joe Cocker, Lior, John Butler Trio, Renee Geyer, Tex Perkins, Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Indigo Girls, Ian Moss and more. She has also performed at Falls Festival, Byron Bay’s Bluesfest, Tasmania’s Southern Roots Festival and performed one of her original songs on the TV series Neighbours. Pross is working on her third original album.

Rado Faletic, class of 1993 - IT and chemical scientist - Dr Faletic was awarded Best All Rounder at Claremont College, and went on to complete a Bachelor of science and PhD at the Australian National University. He spent a number of years in IT and web development before embarking on a career in international science. He is co-founder and director of the company Montroix, which is working with international partners to create new bioplastics industries that will solve many economic, industrial and environmental challenges
16/172. Nathan Dwyer, class of 1994 - cardiologist - After graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2000, Nathan Dwyer completed his specialty cardiology training at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2007. He was awarded his PhD in 2010 by researching pulmonary blood flow before undertaking two years of training in coronary intervention and clinical research at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta, Canada. Nathan is a staff cardiologist at the Royal Hobart Hospital with teaching responsibilities and manages the Tasmanian Pulmonary Hypertension Service.
17/171. Peta-Gai McLaughlin, class of 1993 - lawyer, business owner. After a 17-year legal career that saw Peta-Gai working as the executive officer and company secretary of a $90 million corporate superannuation fund, she changed careers to expand the premium make-up she had started as a part-time venture in 2009. She left the law in 2015 and her company, Iridis Cosmetics, looks after various celebrities including Christine Anu, Sophie Monk on The Bachelorette, and Eddie Perfect on Australia’s Got Talent.
