Australian singing legend Jimmy Barnes has shared a brief break in Hobart ahead of his upcoming concert, enjoying the delights Tassie has to offer.
Rocker Barnes and his wife Jane are in town as part of the national Cold Chisel ‘The Big Five-0’ tour, performing to a sold-out crowd at the MyState Bank Arena on Wednesday night.
Barnes announced his return to touring in September this year after a drawn-out health battle following recent emergency hip surgery.
In December 2023, he underwent open heart surgery when he was struck with a nasty bacterial infection.
Both the Scottish-singer and Jane have shared photos online of their jaunt around Hobart, including pictures along Hobart’s waterfront and an impromptu lunch at the Old Wharf Hotel.
“When in Hobart you’ve got to have a Tassie lobster right?,” Barnes said in an Instagram post.
In another, he shares that he is “resting up for Wednesday night.
“Always great to be breathing the crisp fresh air in Hobart … What a spot,” he said.
A pair of patrolling Tasmania Police officers were lucky enough to run into Barnsey in Hobart, calling it a “true Working Class Man encounter”.
