A dozen people had to be treated after being exposed to what is believed to be carbon monoxide at the Radiology Tasmania in Glenorchy.
Police said that emergency services were called to the business on Main Street in Glenorchy at approximately 9.45am on Thursday.
“A number of people within the building have had minor exposure to what is believed to be carbon monoxide,” police said.
“At this stage, two people are being transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for medical treatment.”
Emergency services later confirmed said another 10 people were treated at the scene.
It was not confirmed whether the carbon monoxide was contained to one section of the building or its entirety.
Just before 10.30am, police said the scene of the incident at Radiology Tasmania had been deemed safe.
It is not known what impact the evacuation has had on Radiology Tasmania services.
