A FURTHER two men have been charged with the murder of prison hospital escapee Nicholas Scott.
A 44-year-old man from Moonah and 21-year-old man from Collinsvale have both been charged with murder, Tasmania Police said, and appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court this morning.
The case was adjourned and both men are scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.
A 20-year-old Granton man was charged last week with Scott’s murder.
Nicholas Scott was found deceased by police at a Granton property in the early hours of January 3 after escaping prison custody at the Royal Hobart Hospital the night before.
His escape triggered a police manhunt after he fled the hospital about 10.55pm.
Police were called out to a report of firearms discharge on Black Snake Rd, Granton, about 1.30am the next morning, discovering Scott’s body outside a residence.
The 20-year-old Granton man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening head injuries.
