The case was adjourned and both men are scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.

A 20-year-old Granton man was charged last week with Scott’s murder.

Nicholas Scott was found deceased by police at a Granton property in the early hours of January 3 after escaping prison custody at the Royal Hobart Hospital the night before.

His escape triggered a police manhunt after he fled the hospital about 10.55pm.

The 20-year-old Granton man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening head injuries.
