Police are searching for three people after a reports of an attempted armed robbery with a baseball bat

A man is alleged to have entered a service station armed with a baseball bat and demanded money, with police now hunting for three people in relation to the incident.

POLICE are hunting three offenders after an attempted armed robbery at a Moonah service station.

The incident was reported at the Caltex outlet on Main Rd just before 4pm.

Police said initial investigations suggested a young woman had entered the store, followed by a man holding a baseball bat.

The man had his face covered and demanded money from the attendant.

The shop attendant retreated to safety and was not physically injured.

Police said a perspex screen was damaged but it was not yet known if anything had been taken from the store.

Investigations are ongoing to determine a more detailed description of the offenders.
