A parliamentary inquiry into traffic congestion in Hobart is set to begin.

A PARLIAMENTARY inquiry into Hobart’s traffic woes will kick off today.

The Legislative Council select committee looking into greater Hobart traffic congestion received 45 submissions from individuals and groups.

Speakers at today’s sessions will include the mayors of the Hobart, Glenorchy, Kingborough and Clarence councils, representatives from the Heart Foundation, Cycling Tasmania, Bicycle Network and the Hobart Northern Suburbs Rail.

The hearing will continue tomorrow and Thursday.
