TASMANIAN chocolate lovers now have another reason to indulge in a new product – it would be unpatriotic to not do so.

Nestle has released a new KitKat dark chocolate variety which pays tribute to Tasmania’s prowess as a great herb growing State.

The KitKat team on Monday unveiled two new decadent dark chocolate flavours – KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint and KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange.

KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint boasts a refreshing mint chocolate using oil from mint grown in Tasmania.

KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange features orange chocolate using oil from blood oranges grown in the lush South Australian Riverland and Sunraysia region.

“Dark chocolate is synonymous with moments of everyday indulgence, and as Aussies increasingly spend more time at home, we’re seeing that they want to elevate their evenings with moments of decadence,” Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery Joyce Tan said.

“So, we’re excited to take KitKat and dark chocolate lovers on a journey of discovery, exploring the provenance of Tasmania and Southern Australia with these new flavour pairings.

“Using quality ingredients from our own backyard, the new flavours add intrigue to our well-loved dark chocolate range as an indulgent and stimulating chocolate treat.”

KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint and KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange are now available in 170g blocks from all major supermarkets priced from $5.
