Midway Point man, 42, dies in fish truck crash at Police Point in Tasmania’s far south

A MAN has died after a fish-carting truck rolled over at Police Point, near Dover, in Tasmania’s far south.

A MAN has died after a fish-carting truck rolled over at Police Point, near Dover, in Tasmania’s far south.

Tasmania Police said the 42-year-old man from Midway Point was the sole occupant of the green and red Mack truck, which crashed on Esperance Coast Rd about 11pm yesterday.

The truck was carting fish at the time of the accident, with the man declared dead at the scene.

The area is home to a large fish farm.

Investigating officer Constable Michael Silk said he would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or had seen the truck before it rolled over.
