Jesse Hall is being remembered for being a devoted twin brother and beautiful, kind teenager who loved an adventure – and anything with wheels.
His parents Melissa and Steve, who shared custody of Jesse and his twin brother Kyle are devastated at his sudden and unexpected death after an accident on a friend’s moped at Austins Ferry.
Steve said the family knew on the day of the accident, Friday April 11, that Jesse’s injuries were so serious he would not recover.
He always wore a helmet but on the day of the accident he went without it because he hadn’t taken it with him to school.
His parents say Jesse’s condition was irreversible and he died from his extensive injuries.
They say Jesse was a “very happy” teenager who this year had excelled at Cosgrove High School where he was in year 8.
“He loved riding his push bike but mainly was obsessed with anything with a motor.
“He did love school especially the past few months where we were getting phone calls from the teachers saying how well he was going in class on a weekly basis.
“Jess was a beautiful, bright, kind boy. He loved life and hanging with his mates.
“He had a funny sense of humour and always a sense of fun and adventure.”
Jesse loved playing soccer and basketball and had enjoyed karate some time ago and also was a great runner.
He and his twin Kyle were inseparable.
“Jesse didn’t need any mates, he just had his brother there and they just did everything together.
“You wouldn’t see them separated.”
Jesse was not a fan of rules but Steve says he was finally “getting around to obeying them”.
He was undecided about what he wanted to do when he left school but Steve and Melissa are in no doubt it would have involved working with a motor and earning lots of money.
As well as Kyle, Jesse had older siblings Tyren and Montana, half brother Liam and step siblings Noah, Belle and Zara.
They say Jesse was their “light, heart and soul”.
A GoFundMe has been set up by his step-aunt Kristy Charlton to help pay for his funeral.
