THE real estate company which recently sold the family home of crash victims Nathan and Chei David has established a fundraising campaign to provide the three children the couple left behind a financial reprieve as they deal with the terrible shock life has dealt them.

More than $15,000 has already been raised through Ray White Berwick’s GoFundMe drive and while the money will not take away the pain of losing both parents it will help in the short term.

Nathan and Chei David, both pastors with the Loch Alive Christian Church, were killed in a crash on Tasmania’s Bass Highway on July 10.

The family had been exploring the island state with their three children – especially its mountains.

The family had visited Cradle Mountain and Launceston’s Cataract Gorge in the days before they died in the fatal crash at Exton, near Deloraine.

The three kids were taken to the Launceston General Hospital with injuries.

Their aunty, Mrs David’s sister, is currently with the youngsters in Tasmania ready to take them back to Victoria on Friday.

The bodies of their parents, originally from the Philippines, are expected to arrive back in Melbourne this weekend.

Director of Ray White Berwick Debbie Brettoner said the situation was heartwrenching.

“I cannot begin to understand the children’s pain. We still can’t believe what has happened,” Ms Brettoner said.

“The agency texted Nathan that morning. We had sold his house and were three weeks away from settling.”

“He was a beautiful man and always had a smile on his face. We had also met Mrs David and the boys. There was no chance we could not step in and do something to help.

“The settlement of the property in the wake of this tragedy will take a long time. In the meantime they will need help. We needed to put something in place quickly so they have funds on hand to get on with life in these terrible circumstances.

“We would love to get the community, our clients, friends and family to help if they can by

donating to the three children and their extended family in these devastating times to help take some financial pressure off – every dollar counts.”
