THE company behind Tassie’s Party in the Paddock are bringing a new music festival to town – and it’s smack bang on Hobart’s doorstep.
Vibestown Productions’ HAYDAYS Festival will kick off at Cornelian Bay between Christmas and New Year’s Eve on December 27 and 28, with organisers promising “a not-to-miss” line-up of acclaimed international acts.
And while the festival will predominantly focus on electronica acts, organisers say variety will be key to the festival, with a slew of “cult favourite” bands rocking out on the stage.
Festival director Ryan Limb said the company hopes it can fill the gap Falls Festival left in the industry after it relocated to Melbourne and “bring back the good times” this summer.
“This has been in the works for a few years now and we felt an obligation to bring another festival to Tasmania,” he said.
“We’re really trying to capture a great big multi day event, with not only the big acts on the main stage but a dance tent open all day and awesome food options.”
The festival line-up will be released in two weeks time with tickets available shortly after.
