Green’s winning coalition: Tasmanian Opposition Leader Bryan Green marries partner Ange Collis on election day

IT may have been a big day for the country, but it was “the big day” for Tasmanian Opposition Leader Bryan Green.

IT may have been a big day for the country, but it was “the big day” for Tasmanian Opposition Leader Bryan Green.

Mr Green, 59, and partner Ange Collis tied the knot in front of family and friends at Riversdale Estate, Cambridge.

Mr Green had reflected on the timing clash between the double dissolution election and his long-planned wedding.

“The wedding was planned before Malcolm Turnbull called the election. I did smile when the date was announced but what can you do?” he said.

“It will be a happy day for Ange, myself and our families. Of course I’ll be concentrating on the main event, but I will keep one eye on the results as it’s a very important day for Tasmania.”
