Graham John Enniss: Risdon Prison escapee in police custody
A man who escaped from Risdon Prison on Monday morning has finally been arrested.

A MAN who escaped from Risdon Prison on Monday morning has been arrested.
In a statement at noon, Tasmania Police said Graham John Enniss, 38, was in custody after an extensive police operation near Risdon Vale on Tuesday morning.
Action Commander Jason Elmer said Enniss was taken into custody in bushland behind Risdon Vale behind Downhams Rd about 11.40am.
No injuries were reported, and police said Enniss was not armed at the time of his arrest.
Significant police resources, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and drones, were used in the search for Enniss in the wider Risdon Vale area overnight.
Police also conducted foot searches using specialist and uniform personnel, as well as maintained a lockdown of vehicles in Risdon Vale area using road blocks.
Acting Commander Elmer thanked the wider Risdon Vale and Geilston Bay communities for their patience and understanding during the operation.
“Assistance from the public was critical and we’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation,” he said.
