FROM race dog to a couch hound, Misty the greyhound has been a life-changing addition to Hobart woman Morgan Pulcipher’s household.

Adopted from Brightside Animal Sanctuary 10 months ago, Misty, 3, once ran rings around the racetrack but now enjoys the quieter life.

“She’s lovely — a 100 mile per hour couch potato, who just lazes around all day and occasionally gets a 60 second burst of energy in the afternoon before retiring again,” Ms Pulcipher said.

Brightside has 26 dogs for adoption, 20 of which are greyhounds.

“I could not recommend enough the decision to adopt a greyhound,” Ms Pulcipher said.

“She’s changed my life. I fell in love with her as soon as I visited Brightside and took her for a walk.”

The Mercury is calling for submissions of your cutest dog pictures for a special online gallery. Upload your best one or two snaps here. Entries should be .jpg format and have a file size of at least 1MB.
