As Tasmania is set to be completely open to every state and territory in Australia, airlines are offering dirt cheap flights you can book now — some from just $59. CHEAPEST ROUTES >>

How the New Zealand - Australia travel bubble will work

TRAFFIC at Tasmanian airports is beginning to return to somewhere near pre-COVID levels as airlines rebound from the coronavirus crisis and keen travellers make the most of renewed flight routes.

As Tasmania prepares to open its borders to Victoria on November 27, airlines are trying to lure travellers to again take to the skies with COVID-19 under control across Australia.

Virgin Australia and Jetstar have both launched recent sales as they open up existing routes and look to expand into new ones.

Jetstar currently has a sale called ‘Friday Fare Frenzy’ with flights from Launceston to the mainland starting from $59.

Qantas meanwhile is now offering routes like Hobart-Canberra and Hobart-Perth, while smaller carrier Link Airways has also launched flights to and from the nation’s capital.
