THE cause of a fire which “completely destroyed” a home in Tasmania’s North-West overnight will be investigated today.

“On arrival, they found a large home completely engulfed in flames,” the TFS said in a brief statement this morning.

“Fire crews stopped the fire from spreading to surrounding vegetation, but the home was unable to be saved.”

No one was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.

All that remains on the severely burnt block is a brick chimney and some metal sheeting.
