Tasmania Police have charged two people in relation to two viral sex act videos involving a grave and live trout.

A 57-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, both from Southern Tasmania, have been charged in relation to the videos which have gone viral around the world.

One video involved an alleged act of bestiality, the other involved inappropriate behaviour on a grave in Tasmania.

Both people have been charged with bestiality offences and an offence relating to prohibited activities in a cemetery.

They will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police remind the public that it is an offence to possess or distribute the bestiality-related video.

Woman in trout video worked with animals

The former employer of a woman allegedly at the heart of a video involving a live trout has spoken out to clear the name of his veterinary clinic.

Kingston Animal Hospital’s owner Dr Chris Lee took to Facebook on Thursday evening to address the video which has been viewed around the world.

“Dear valued clients, pets and supporters of Kingston Animal Hospital,” Dr Lee posted.

“I am the sole proprietor (owner) of Kingston Animal Hospital.

“It has come to my recent attention that an ex-employee of the hospital has recently been the subject of attention by appearing in a video that has been widely circulated on social media.

“Please understand that this person is no longer a paid employee, has not worked at Kingston Animal Hospital for over 5 years, and over 10 years ago as a full-time employee.

“Any matter relating to disrespect or mistreatment of animals is condemned by all our staff and myself.

“This story and video are completely unrelated to all current staff. We will continue to do our best to serve you and your family, pets and all other animals as we have in the past – with care, dedication and the best service we can.

“I would like to apologise for the distress this matter may have caused to all of you, but rest assured we always put you and your pets first.

“I appreciate your concerns and would like to reassure you that things will remain unchanged, and that this matter is completely separate from any person who owns, runs or works at Kingston Animal Hospital.”

Tasmania Police investigations into the video are ongoing.

RSPCA, daughter of deceased artist speak on videos

RSPCA Tasmania and the daughter of a deceased artist have spoken out after two videos of sex acts involving a live trout and a grave went viral around the state.

The graphic footage, believed to have been filmed by the same two people, went across the state on Wednesday.

The first video, involving a man and a woman having sex on the grave of late Cressy artist David Hammond Chapman, who died in 1983, was filmed at Pisa St Mark’s Anglican Cemetery at Cressy.

The second, which involves the man using a live trout as a sex toy on the woman, appears to have been filmed on a boat on a lake.

Tasmania Police confirmed they were following a “specific line of inquiry” relating to the trout video and urged anyone in possession of the video to delete it, as its possession is an offence under s74 of the Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Enforcement Act 1995.

They said they were yet to receive a complaint regarding the grave video and raised doubts it was even filmed in Tasmania, despite the fact the Mercury confirmed it occurred at Cressy.

On Thursday, one of Mr Chapman’s three daughters, Longford artist Jennie Chapman-Caswell, owner of the town’s Blenheim Gallery and Garden, said the defilement of her father’s grave was “very unfortunate”.

She was philosophical as to what could have motivated the act.

“I wouldn’t have thought it would have been against (my dad) personally. He’s been dead a long time,” she said.

The chief executive of RSPCA Tasmania, Jan Davis, said the animal organisation were not going to get involved with the sickening trout video.

“This is a serious matter being dealt with by the police,” Ms Davis said.

A spokeswoman for Tasmania Police said on Thursday investigations were ongoing into the trout video and no charges had been laid to date.

Videos capture live trout, grave used in sex acts

Sex act videos involving a grave and a live trout, believed to be filmed by the same two Tasmanians, have sparked outrage across the state and are now at the centre of a police investigation.

The Mercury was sent footage of a man and woman fornicating on a Northern Midlands grave belonging to a famous Tasmanian artist who died in the 1980s.

The video, which is too graphic to be published, went viral throughout the state on social media platforms in the past 24 hours.

The concerned resident who sent the video said “I find this extremely disgusting, and I hope the news reaches the family of whose grave it is”.

The video depicts a woman, wearing just an unbuttoned orange shirt, lay down on her back on top of a grave at Pisa St Mark’s Anglican Cemetary at Cressy.

A male filming then approaches and begins to have intercourse with her.

“Well, there’s someone’s grave. It’s a grave babe,” the male says.

“We’re going to f--k on the grave, that’s where it’s at.”

The woman adds “to the souls of the faithfully departed, may they rest in peace”.

Other lines spoken by the pair are too graphic to report.

Investigations have revealed the grave was the burial place of David Hammond Chapman.

Mr Chapman was a Tasmanian artist, popular in his time, who was born in Ballarat in 1927. He died at Cressy on December 8, 1983.

Mr Chapman painted landscapes primarily. He was married to Beatrice Chapman, who passed away in 2018. The pair had three children together. It’s understood Beatrice was a popular volunteer at Longford’s historic Woolmers Estate.

A second video features a woman, believed to be the same woman from the grave video, lying on a boat at sea while a male uses a live trout to perform a sexual act on her.

“That’s how you catch a trout,” the man says in the footage.

Tasmania Police said they were investigating the video.

“Police are aware of a graphic video circulating involving two people and a fish,” a spokeswoman said.

“Police are investigating and following a specific line of enquiry.

“Police encourage anyone with the video to delete it immediately. Possessing or distributing the video would be an offence.”
