One of Hobart’s most popular high end fashion retailers is closing its doors in one of Hobart’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.
Country Road is closing its store located at 183 Sandy Bay Rd with the building being gutted of everything inside.
The popular clothing and lifestyle brand has been a staple on the Sandy Bay strip for years and its closure leaves only one Country Road store left in Hobart.
When contacted for comment, Country Road stated there was “not much to tell” about the closure of the store.
Nearby workers said the empty space was rumoured to be transforming into a doctor’s surgery.
