Boy in custody over accidentally shooting another youth in Launceston

A boy is in custody and assisting police following a 15-year-old being shot in a Launceston suburb.

A BOY is in custody and assisting police following a 15-year-old being shot in a Launceston suburb.

Detective Senior Constable Hayes said the 15-year-old had been accidentally shot in the buttocks at a home in Youngtown.

“The injured youth is in a stable condition at the Launceston General Hospital following the

incident,” Senior Constable Hayes said.

Police are seeking information about the incident, which can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au.
