With Premier Peter Gutwein saying Tasmania’s borders are likely to reopen at the end of July, the major airlines are taking bookings for a number of direct flights now.

Here’s what’s available to book and when:

Jetstar

Hobart > Brisbane

You can nab the first available Jetstar flight to Brisbane on Friday, July 24 from $187 via Melbourne or the next day from $181 one way.

Direct flights from Hobart to Brisbane are not available until August 1, starting from $139.

Hobart > Adelaide

The first available Jetstar flight to Adelaide (with a stop in Melbourne) is July 2, with fares starting from $175.

The cheapest is July 7, with fares starting from $145.

Hobart > Melbourne

You can already fly to Melbourne airport, with the cheapest fare this month from Jetstar being just $56 one way on a number of selected dates.

A reminder that returning residents will be subject to quarantine orders, with a requirement to self-isolate at home for 14 days until the Public Health State of Emergency is lifted.

Hobart > Perth

The earliest Jetstar flight to Perth (via Melbourne) is scheduled for August 1, with fares starting from $282. You can fly a few days later on August 4 starting from $255.

Hobart > Sydney

You can already fly to Sydney airport, with the cheapest fare this month from Jetstar being $219 one way on June 24.

The cheapest upcoming fare to Sydney is $91 on July 25.

Launceston > Brisbane

You can fly to Brisbane from Launceston from July 24, with fares starting from $224. You can nab a $132 flight on August 5.

Launceston > Melbourne

Fares start from just $59 when flights get back up and running from Launnie to Melbourne on July 24 and 25.

Launceston > Sydney

Flights kick off on July 24 to Sydney, with the first flight starting from $199. Or, if you wait until August 1, fares drop to just $72.

Launceston > Perth

The first flights to Perth from Launceston (with a stop in Melbourne) have already sold out, with the earliest you can book now August 1 — starting from $263.

Launceston > Adelaide

July 24 is the earliest you can book a flight to Adelaide (with a stop in Melbourne), at $192 one way. A few days later, on July 28 fares drop to $143.

Virgin Australia

Hobart > Brisbane

The earliest Virgin flight to Brisbane is available Monday, July 13, with the fare $227.67 with one stop in Melbourne.

Hobart > Melbourne

The earliest Virgin flight to Melbourne is available Monday, July 13, with fares starting from $145.

Hobart > Sydney

You can fly to Sydney from Monday, July 13 from $195 with one stop in Melbourne.

Hobart > Perth

There are limited flights from Hobart to Perth (via Melbourne) starting from July 19 and $496 one way.

Hobart > Adelaide

You can fly to Adelaide via Melbourne from July 13, starting from $577.

Launceston > Brisbane

You can fly from Launnie to Brisbane via Melbourne from July 20, starting from $196.

Launceston > Melbourne

From July 22 you’ll be able to fly direct to Melbourne with Virgin, starting from $109.

Launceston > Sydney

You can fly to Sydney (via Melbourne) from July 22 starting from $190 one way with Virgin.

Launceston > Adelaide

You won’t be able to fly from Launnie to Adelaide (via Melbourne) until August 10, with fares starting from $189.

Qantas

Hobart > Brisbane

You can fly to Brisbane via Melbourne with Qantas from $275.

Hobart > Melbourne

Fly direct to Melbourne with Qantas from today from $128.

You can fly to Sydney from Hobart now, but the fares are expensive. From July 1 you can score a $153 direct flight.

You can fly to Canberra via Melbourne now, but fares are expensive. From July 1 you can grab a flight from $329 one way.

Hobart > Perth

You can fly to Perth via Melbourne now, but fares are expensive. From July 1, flights are $422 one way, or from August 1 they drop to $359.

Hobart > Adelaide

The earliest flight from Hobart to Adelaide (via Melbourne) on Qantas is on sale for July 1, starting from $241.

Launceston > Brisbane

Fly direct to Brisbane for the month of July from $263 or wait until August when fares drop to $180.

Launceston > Melbourne

You can fly to Melbourne now with flights around $137 one way. In July and August, fares drop to $116.

Launceston > Sydney

You can fly to Sydney now on Qantas, with fares starting from $235 on June 23. If you wait until mid-July, fares drop to $172.

Launceston > Perth

Towards the end of July, flights to Perth (via Melbourne) get cheaper — $415 one way, compared to now where it will set you back over $1000.

Launceston > Adelaide

You can fly from Launnie to Adelaide (via Melbourne) from June 30 from $394.
