A vile predator has been jailed for paying a known child sex facilitator in the Philippines for live online child exploitation material.

SA Police arrest 36 people in child sex offender operation

A predator has been jailed after he paid half the price of a cup of coffee for horrific overseas child exploitation material.

Tylore George Zozuk-Levy, 28, was told by a judge that him rationalising his vile conduct by stating there were other members in the group was “extremely concerning”

During sentencing, the District Court heard the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET) identified Zozuk-Levy as paying money to a known child sex facilitator in the Philippines for live online child exploitation material.

Police searched his Queenstown residence in October 2023 as a result and reviewed his phone.

They found a total of 245 images and videos of child exploitation material.

“Police located other various instances of online communications between you and users on the platforms Session, NekoX and TikTok where you were found to be actively seeking and disseminating child exploitation material,” Judge Anthony Allen said.

The court heard Zozuk-Levy was a participant in a group chat where child exploitation material had been offered for 100 Philippine pesos, which is $2.62 Australian.

“You and the other online pedophiles were trading in the suffering of children for half the price of a cup of coffee,” Judge Anthony Allen said.

The court heard Zozuk-Levy also conversed with an unknown user about their sexual desires on the platform Session and exchanged child exploitation material.
Zozuk-Levy pleaded guilty to possessing and disseminating child exploitation material.

The court heard Zozuk-Levy, who has autism spectrum disorder, was previously handed a suspended sentence in March 2023 for possessing child exploitation material.

“You have rationalised your offending, given the number of other people involved on the pedophilic online chat platforms,” Judge Allen said.

“This is extremely concerning.”

The court heard Zozuk-Levy sought treatment to address his interest in child exploitation material and stated he now has far more insight into its impacts.

Revoking his suspended sentence, Judge Allen sentenced Zozuk-Levy to three years and 11 months jail, with a non-parole period of two years and nine months.

“The child-victims are subjected to degrading and humiliating acts,” he said.

“As a result, there is a paramount public interest in promoting the protection of children.”
