Two teenage boys who were allegedly behind a violent rampage this week have been arrested again, police say.

On Wednesday, the youths allegedly entered a fast-food restaurant on Furness Ave at Edwardstown where they attempted to steal a staff member’s mobile phone.

One of the teens got away shortly after.

Meanwhile, the other boy allegedly had entered a back room in a bid to steal money.

A staff member detained the boy in the back room, however, sustained minor injuries in the process.

The 15-year-old Davoren Park boy was charged with assault, serious criminal trespass and theft and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on April 16.

However, this morning (Friday) police received reports of two teens jumping a fence into the rear yard of a home in John St, Ascot Park.

Southern patrols with PD Arlo quickly arrived on scene.

Their efforts led to the successful arrest of the two boys; one was allegedly armed with a machete.

The 15-year-old Davoren Park boy – who was arrested only two days prior – was charged with breach of bail. This time he was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.

The other 15-year-old, from Elizabeth South, was charged with carrying an offensive weapon, serious criminal trespass and theft, as well as breach of bail.

Police will allege this boy was the second suspect involved in the incident at the fast-food restaurant on Wednesday.

This comes after The Advertiser reported on police forming a super taskforce to combat “crimes of violence” committed by youths where Operation Meld and Mandrake would merge.
