A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after another teen was stabbed in the back, bashed and robbed on a public bus in Adelaide’s western suburbs on Wednesday.
Police arrested the teenager at Athol Park on Friday morning, the second suspect still at large.
Police will allege the incident occurred on an Adelaide Metro bus on Hanson Rd, Mansfield Park at about 7.30pm, with the 16-year-old victim saying he was unaware he had been stabbed until after the attack, which also left him with a dislocated shoulder.
After the attack, police and emergency crews were called a short distance from where the teenager boarded, where they located and spoke to the victim.
“Police attended and spoke with the victim, a 16-year-old boy from Woodville Gardens who had been assaulted and stabbed in the shoulder by unknown offenders,” a spokesperson said.
“‘The victim was conveyed to hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
“Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspects.”
Police will allege the incident started when the victim was approached by two suspects while waiting for a bus, who then threatened him and said they had robbed other people in the past.
It will be alleged the two suspects followed him onto the bus when it arrived and continued to harass and threaten him while on-board.
The victim allegedly refused to give them what they wanted, which resulted in a fight breaking out on the bus.
