SA Relaxes Some COVID Restrictions 29/01/22

South Australia has taken its first steps back towards normality with the relaxation of several Covid-19 restrictions, but operators say the measures do not go far enough to help struggling businesses.

A strike by public school teachers  on the first day of school has been averted after three-quarters of union members who voted in a second ballot opted against the move.

A second major emergency – on top of the one imposed for Covid – has been declared in South Australia, this time in response to the extreme weather event that caused flooding in the north and west of the state.

And property developer Ross Pelligra has vowed to push ahead in the search for a new home for the Adelaide Crows, revealing there are three sites still in the mix for the club’s new base.
