Russia Targets Civilians In Latest Assault On Ukraine 02/03/22

Stunned by their failure to capture Kyiv in a planned 48-hour blitz, Russian military chiefs are becoming more ruthless,  bombing homes, schools and hospitals in the Ukrainian capital.

Ukraine’s army will be boosted by extra missiles, ammunition and other weapons paid for by Australia in a $105 million aid package to combat Russia’s “unlawful, violent and aggressive” invasion.

Thousands of flood-hit families across NSW and Queensland were still stranded on Tuesday night amid warnings the carnage would continue and the clean-up could take months.

And in sport, Russia has been expelled from the World Cup after being suspended from all international competitions “until further notice”, FIFA and UEFA announced in a joint statement on Tuesday.
