Pedestrian hit by car on McIntyre Rd, as emergency services attend serious crash Port Elliot

A pedestrian has been critically injured after being struck by a car in Para Hills West. Meanwhile two cars have collided at Port Elliot.

A woman is in a critical condition after being hit by a car on Monday night.

About 6.50pm, the 49-year-old Salisbury East woman was hit by a Suzuki Swift on McIntyre Rd at Para Hills West.

She was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Suzuki Swift, a 33-year-old Hope Valley woman, was uninjured in the crash.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a serious crash at Port Elliot.

Emergency services were called to the two-car accident on Port Elliot Rd, also on Monday, after reports a Nissan ute and Nissan SUV had crashed, just before 6pm.

A 58-year-old Encounter Bay man, the driver of a Nissan SUV, was flown to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old Goolwa man, driving a ute, was taken to the Victor Harbor Hospital with minor injuries.

Port Elliot Rd, near the Basham Beach Conservation Reserve access road, was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
