A woman was allegedly caught with fantasy, magic mushrooms and a tick list only months after being released on parole, a court has heard.

Nicki Meree Robinson, 31, applied for bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court after claiming her former partner was responsible for selling the drugs.

A prosecutor told the court they were opposed to all forms of bail, as she committed the alleged offending while on parole.

The court heard she was released on parole in July.

Police attended Ms Robinson’s Para Hills residence in September, following an investigation into a series of thefts.

The court heard Ms Robinson was identified based on facial recognition from CCTV images provided by Bunnings and the vehicle involved in the alleged thefts was found parked in her driveway.
Police searched the house and allegedly located a backpack in her wardrobe that contained a plastic bottle with 250ml of GHB, also known as fantasy.

The court heard police also allegedly found small quantities of magic mushroom and cannabis, scales and a tick list.

Ms Robinson was interviewed and confirmed the bedroom was hers.

“She did however state that there are people that come and go from that address, she declined to identify who those people are,” the prosecutor said.

Andrew Graham, for Ms Robinson, told the court his client was with a former partner of hers during the alleged thefts and he loaded up his van with more than he actually paid for.

The court heard Ms Robinson told in an interview that she believed he was paying for all the items at Bunnings.

“There’s no evidence to contradict her version of events,” Mr Graham said.

Mr Graham said Ms Robinson said the backpack with the drugs belonged to her former partner and a trial could be more than two years away.

“She says … it’s not my backpack, it’s in my bedroom therefore it must be his. I was not selling fantasy,” he said.

“At the end of the day she gets in the witness box and she says that, the jury either believes or disbelieves her.”

Magistrate Justin Wickens said it was a strong circumstantial case, as Ms Robinson was the only one asserted to be using that bedroom and her former partner wasn’t charged with drug trafficking.

Mr Wickens ordered a home detention report and adjourned the application until next week.
