Mega flashback gallery: 230+ Heaven photos of Adelaide’s church nightclub in the 2010s

The return of Heaven nightclub may have been short but the memories – and photos — have stood the test of time. Were you captured partying in a church?

Popular nightclub 'CONFESSION' announces its closure

There are few signs these days of St Paul’s Church’s wild past.

Until recently, the building was leased out by the South Australian Government for a creative arts hub but in the past weeks, a fresh ‘leased’ sign has been plastered over a real estate billboard near the entrance, signalling a new chapter for the venue.

But in the early 2010s, the old church was the place to be for party loving South Aussies.

Heaven nightclub reopened its doors at the Pulteney St site in September 2010 but its revival was short lived.

Just over a year after its comeback, the business went into administration.

At the time, administrator Hugh Martin said the nightclub has been losing money because it was unable to trade as it had planned due to restrictions on its licence.

If you and your friends spent some time partying at the revived Heaven, you could be featured in our photo galleries.

Jump back to the 2010s and see if you can spot a familiar face.
