Man, 65, dies after crashing into Stobie pole earlier this month

After fighting for life for two weeks, a man has died after sustaining serious injuries from a car crash in Adelaide’s south.

A man has died following a crash at Whites Valley earlier in February.

Emergency services were called to the small winery town between Aldinga and Willunga after a car crashed into a Stobie pole just before 4am on Friday, February 14.

The driver and sole occupant, a 65-year-old man from Onkaparinga Hills, had sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown to hospital.

However, despite medical efforts, the man died from his injuries on Wednesday.

Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The man’s death is the 19th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
