Huge great white shark spotted at Aldinga Beach Saturday morning
A four-metre great white shark sparked an alert after it was spotted close to shore at Aldinga Beach on Saturday morning.

Beachgoers at Aldinga Beach reported a four-metre great white shark just 500m from the shore on Saturday morning.
The shark was spotted about 8.30am and witnesses compared its size to their boat.
Police were called to alert the public of the shark because surf life saving patrols had not started for the day.

It came after Grange Beach was evacuated on New Year’s Day after public reports of a shark sighting.
A member of the public reported the shark, of unknown length and species, at 1.55pm.
In December, Glenelg beach was subject to a shark spotting, which was the fourth in three days prompting a short precautionary evacuation.
Brighton Beach also had a precautionary evacuation after a shark sighting in December after a member of the public spotted a shark about 50-100m from the north of Brighton Jetty.
A rescue helicopter sighted a 2.5m bronze whaler shark between Seacliff and Brighton and chased it back to sea.
