Adelaide Crows defender Wayne Milera and wife Nina have announced the early arrival of their second son – a “beautiful boy” named Stanley Richie Wayne Milera.
Stanley was born premature on Sunday, July 6, at just 32 weeks and weighing in at 2.13kg (4lbs and 11oz). He is now receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The couple shared the news on Instagram with a tender photo of their newborn wrapped in a soft blue knitted blanket.
“He’s now in the NICU, where he’ll stay until he’s strong enough to come home to us & his very excited big brother, Carter,” the post read.
“Thank you so much to our families & friends for their love & support and to everyone who kept us in their hearts.
“We can’t wait for you to meet our little Stanley.”
Milera, 27, was a late withdrawal from the Crows’ clash against Melbourne on July 6 for personal reasons, which have now been revealed.
The couple married on November 1, 2023, after first welcoming their eldest son, Carter Andrew Wayne Milera, on March 30, 2021.
Fans and teammates have flooded the comments with well wishes, with many expressing support as they navigate life in the NICU.
Stanley’s arrival marks a joyful, if early, milestone for the Mileras – with the club and fans rallying behind them in the weeks to come.
