A woman accused of returning a blood-alcohol reading of 0.307 after allegedly smashing into cars in a pub carpark has been slapped with a 12-month driving ban.
Tasmania Police allege the woman blew six times the legal limit after she was stopped in the Riverside Hotel carpark at 2pm on Friday.
It’s the second drink-driving arrest in Launceston in as many days after a 21-year-old was allegedly found next to his car in his driveway after leaving the scene of a crash.
Police said he later returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.221.

In the latest incident, a 45-year-old Launceston woman allegedly damaged five cars and was stopped from continuing to drive by members of the public.
When officers from the Northern Road Safety Taskforce attended, she returned a breath analysis result of 0.307.

The woman was arrested, charged, bailed to appear later in court and was issued a 12-month immediate disqualification notice.
“It was fortunate that the parked vehicles were not occupied at the time and that no one was injured,” police said.
“Police wish to thank the public for assisting with this matter and preventing the driver from continuing to drive.”
