Make a family-in-need happy this Christmas and register for the Addy’s Adopt a Family appeal.

Adopt a Family is back for 2024.

The initiative will again support families in need in the Geelong region this Christmas.

Geelong Advertiser editor Nadja Fleet said the Addy was proud to continue the long tradition.

“There is no better time to give back than Christmas,” she said.

The Appeal concept is simple: Disadvantaged families register with one of our supporting charities to be ‘adopted’, while the Geelong Advertiser implements a campaign to promote the appeal and enlists the support of community members, families, schools, businesses and individuals, who volunteer to ‘adopt’ a family (become ‘adopters’).

We are inviting our adopters – once they have received details about their families – to purchase a gift voucher from a local business for each of your adopted family members.

Vouchers will need to be dropped off at the following locations by November 17 – Harvey Norman Waurn Ponds, Harvey Norman Corio, Munro’s on Garden, 78A Garden St, East Geelong, Geelong Advertiser drop box, 126 Little Malop St, Geelong.

Donations are not tax deductible.
