A 22-year-old’s frozen yoghurt business proved so popular it sold out in its first weekend, but the young entrepreneur has promised to meet local demand.

After selling out in just 72 hours, 22-year-old business owner Aaliyah Wicks has assured residents her new frozen yoghurt bar Sista Swirl is well and truly back in action.

“It was a very busy opening weekend, we sold out of a week’s worth of product in about three days,” Ms Wicks said.

“I was a little bit unsure of how it would all go but I’ve had really good feedback from locals.

“People have come in two or three times already and we are anticipating large crowds again on the weekend. This past Monday was as busy as Friday.”

Ms Wicks, who was forced to close on Sunday in order to restock, said the business would be ready to serve the city’s frozen yoghurt fiends seven days a week.

“We are fully restocked this week with everyone’s favourite flavours,” Ms Wicks said.

“We are getting our operations down pat and we’ve been listening to everyone’s feedback and implementing improvements.”

Ms Wicks advised the business would be cashless going forward to keep her young staff safe.

“Because of the age of my staff and where we are location wise, we don’t accept cash for now, it may change in the future,” she said.

“It also much easier to get through large crowds just tapping card payments.”

On the fully gluten-free menu are offerings like loco coco, mango tango and salted caramel, with more two vegan and dairy-free options to boot.

Sista Swirl will open 11am to 9pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 10pm Friday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays, unless otherwise specified.

It is located at 430 Ruthven St, Toowoomba City.
